On Saturday I took Sparkle and Glitz to the fleamarket down the road from us, and they (Glitz especially) were fussed over by many different people - very good "socialising" with men, women, children, cars and motorbikes, noise etc. We just went a bit late and it was quite hot - next time we will go earlier.
On Sunday we had the first of our four SA Champs Qualifying rounds. Ozz and Sparkle took part, and Glitz went with to do some more socialising. Once again many people fussed over her, and she also socialised with other puppies and dogs of various breeds. The photo's below were taken by Colleen Venter:

Yesterday (Monday) we went to our first ever puppy-school class - super, super, super! We had to sit in the Vet's consulting rooms as if we were there to see the vet, there were four other puppies (a daschund, a pitbull, a beagle and a lab-cross) in the class that she socialised with. We did a bit of weaving in between other dogs, walked up the road and sat at the curbs, back at the centre I hid away and called her and she had to come and find me, we did waits, and then I also played tug with her - very pleased to say she responded very well, was not that distracted by the other puppies, and focussed on me very well. Needless to say, she was exhausted after class and slept like a log.
